Episode #8: The Murder of Annie Le, the Girl in the Wall
Summary of the Case:
On September 8th, 2009, student Annie Le walked from her apartment to her office, then to her lab, to do her daily work. Her badge would show she never left the lab.
Family and friends would become concerned, but at first police thought she was a runaway bride, since her wedding was coming up. However, she had left behind her purse and phone and all of her belongings, so police quickly ruled this out. But they could not figure out what happened to her, since she had never been seen leaving the lab. They took an interest in a lab employee, Raymond Clark, who was seen acting suspicious. Soon they started to find evidence around the lab, such as Annie’s blood, and bloody clothing. After several days of searching the lab, a putrid smell lead investigators to the body of Annie Le. She had been strangled, and her body had been stuffed into a utility box in the wall. Raymond Clark was arrested for her murder.
Raymond plead guilty and was sentenced to 44 years in prison. He has never admitted to a motive for the murder.
