Episode #20: Kirk Zimmerman and the Murder of Pamela Zimmerman
Summary of the Case:
In 2014, Kirk and Pam Zimmerman were living in Bloomington, IL. They had divorced, and were sharing custody of their teenage children. They were both dating other people. On November 3rd, Pam was working in her office and saw her last client of the day. This was the last time she would ever be seen. The next day, her secretary and neighbor would find the body of Pam in her office; she had been shot multiple times. Police immediately suspected her ex-husband Kirk. He told police he had been with his girlfriend the night of the shooting, but it was determined he had not been home when his girlfriend came over, and he actually did not have an alibi.

In April 2019, Kirk was put on trial for the murder of Pam. He maintained his innocence. The prosecution claimed he killed her because of arguments over child support payments. Gunshot residue was found in his car, but a GSR expert testified it could have been residue from the police who searched the car with the firearms present. In May 2019, the jury found Kirk not guilty.
